Poem - Times will come

Times will come
when all goes wrong.
Times like here and now.
Facing the dark abyss.
Where you've been,
never to be seen again.
There's something amiss.
Something of value,
something of substance.
Past and present merge.
I search for something,
a sign of a reply,
a familiar face.
Only in the dark.
The darkness inside.
Let the hidden hide.
