Poem - Sunday early winter

People playing kricket in the parking lot.
Sunday early winter, late one afternoon.
The town became so quiet
when people disappear.
Sweet mercy overhead,
like flakes of snow, like silk.
Last rays of sun peacefully breathe.
Homeward bound, to loosten the ties.
And tomorrow we tie another strand.
Today, tonight, I rest my hand.
